NEC Classic Motor Show 2025

This year's Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham will take place on the 7th-9th of November. While the YTCC doesn't have a stand themselves, a couple of our members will be taking part as members of the Old Skool Ford group. Mark Scott will be taking his beautiful orange Mk1 Escort Estate and I (Paul Nicholes) will be taking my Green Mk3 Cortina.

If you're planning to visit the show, the Old Skool Ford Group have a discount code you can use on pre-booked tickets. Enter the code CCCNOV5846 at checkout when you book online and get £4 off each single-day Adult ticket or £2 off a family or multi-day ticket. The code is valid until 6th November.

Shed and Buried request:

We've had an email from a lady at a TV company who is looking for someone with some classic cars in a garage that they can feature on their next series....
If you'd like to take part, please contact the lady directly.

I work for HCA Entertainment, the team behind the Shed & Buried TV series. The Classic Cars version is back for a new series, and Henry Cole & Fuzz Townshend are on the hunt for sheds, barns, garages, lock-ups full of classic or unique cars across the UK.

I am sure the Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club community has a number of people who might fit the bill and would be keen to take part (perhaps some within the admin team too!). I was wondering if there was any way you'd be interested in possibly helping us reach those people and getting the call-out to them?

I'd be more than happy to chat things over and meet properly on a quick call, otherwise if you wanted to send our call-out to members directly that would  fantastic!

The basic info is just: if you might have a private shed/ barn/ garage with classic cars in it-
We would be looking for a variety of personal collections (not polished dealership showrooms) - from large garage units to smaller sheds with a few vehicles in. The presenters would ideally be purchasing a vehicle that required relatively minor mechanical/ cosmetic restoration.

Let me know if you need any more details, and I appreciate the above is a little vague, as we are open to a wide size range of collections & there is some flexibility with the level of renovation we could work with!

Please email info@hcaentertainment.com for more information on how you might be able to get involved!

Thank you so much and really looking forward to hearing back,

Very best wishes,

Julia Mervis
